A positive image of the braford district
Saturday 6th April 2024 saw the official opening of the 'Celebrating Bradford' exhibition by Bingley Camera Club. The exhibition hosted by Trapezium Arts Gallery, brings together a wonderful selection of images from Bingley Camera Club, and tells the story of the place they live in - Bradford.
All taken within the Bradford Metropolitan district, there are photographs of beautiful architecture, both new and old, breath-taking landscapes, wonderful waterways, and other tourist attractions. There are also a colourful array of images depicting some of the many events and celebrations that happen throughout the year, plus many more images that celebrate the district.
From beginners to accomplished photographers, the members demonstrate the diverse range of perspectives and styles within Bingley Camera Club.
The exhibition was opened with firstly a speech by Club President, Paul Brown LSWPP, where he spoke about the evolvement of the exhibition and thanked the many people who were involved in the putting together what is a fantastic looking exhibition. The exhibition opening was completed by a speech by Yorkshire Photographic Union (YPU) President, Richard Littlefair LRPS CPAGB. Richard gave some kind words about Bingley Camera Club, talking about their success growing over the last few years and how by getting out into the community and getting their name out there has made the club one to be proud of.
Well done to everyone who has been part of this exhibition and also thank you to all that were at the opening.
The exhibition runs until 27th April 2024 and the Trapezium Gallery is open on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11.00am to 3.00pm.
